Ultra Violet (UV)

UV Water Sanitation
Ultraviolet (UV) water sanitation is an environmentally-friendly and chemical-free method of purifying water. Using the natural power of UV light, it effectively neutralises harmful microorganisms without adding any chemicals or altering the taste and odour of your water. Unlike traditional treatments such as chlorine, which can produce harmful by-products linked to serious health risks, UV purification provides a safe, natural, and reliable way to ensure clean water for your home, boat, caravan, or 4WD.
Softening

Goodbye to Hard Water Problems
A water softener is a smart solution for tackling hard water by removing the minerals—such as calcium and magnesium—that cause stubborn scale buildup. Using advanced ion exchange technology, a WaterMark-approved water softener replaces these minerals with sodium or potassium ions, protecting your plumbing, appliances, and fixtures from damage.
The benefits are clear: sparkling glassware, longer-lasting hot water systems and dishwashers, easier-to-clean bathrooms, and a scale-free finish on your car.
Soft water also makes soaps and shampoos rinse away more easily and keeps ice cubes crystal-clear. With sleek design, class-leading efficiency, and certified performance, a quality water softener saves you money, protects your investment, and makes everyday life a little easier.
Filter Cartridges
Keep Your Family’s Water Fresh and Healthy
Replacing your water filter cartridge isn’t just maintenance—it’s peace of mind. Over time, cartridges capture the minerals, sediments, and impurities that can dull the taste of your water and reduce system performance. By swapping in a fresh cartridge on schedule, you are ensuring every glass your family drinks is crisp, clean, and safe. It’s the simple step that protects your appliances, keeps your kitchen running efficiently, and makes sure everyone—from the youngest to the oldest—enjoys pure, refreshing water every day.
Tank Master stocks and supplies a range of filter cartridges, including our range of standard Sediment and Carbon filter cartridges, which are available in the following dimensions:
- 2.5 Inches by 10 Inches
- 2.5 Inches by 20 Inches

Water Filtration

Get the Right Filter – Without the Hype
If you’re here, you probably want clean, safe water—and you’re not alone. The reality is that water quality varies wildly between properties, suburbs, and sources. You don’t want to waste your money filtering something that isn’t there, and you don’t want to be sold a system you don’t need.

Where to begin and what you need to know
First – Test Your Water
You can either:
- Send a sample to a certified laboratory for a comprehensive written report, or
- Use DIY test strips, like the Atlas Assessment Kit, which can even detect bacteria like E. coli. These are available at Tank Master.
Knowing what’s actually in your water gives you a clear starting point.
Next – How Much Water Are You Filtering?
Are you looking to treat all the water in your house—or just the water coming through your kitchen tap?
Do you need to filter the water that goes onto your lawn? Probably not.
Once you know how much water you want to filter, you’ll be better placed to choose a system that suits you, not one that breaks the bank or demands constant maintenance.
Filter Facts (No Snake Oil Here)
Let’s cut through the smoke and mirrors
- Do you have scheme (town) water? You don’t need a UV system.
- Do you want to remove chlorine? Use a carbon filter.
- Do you have salty water? Basic filters can’t remove salt.
- Do you want to filter out bacteria? Look for a filter that is finer than 1 micron.
- Do you have hard water (white deposits on glass)? You need a water softener, not a filter.
- Are you dealing with acidic water (low pH)? A basic filter won’t help you. You’ll need a neutralising system.
There are specialty cartridges that, using ion-exchange or other advanced methods, can help in specific cases. These are best used when you know exactly what issue you are trying to solve.
Still Unsure?
No problem. We can help you choose the right system for your water. Contact us here or call us on (08) 9274 7000.
