The information below is a general guide, individual circumstances may vary.
General Guidelines
Tank Master advises customers that all care is taken when manufacturing products. In some cases, materiel (swarf) or debris may be left inside due to the manufacturing process. Tank Master advises customers that tank(s) should be vacuumed or washed out prior to installation. Material (swarf) or debris may affect pipe work, pumps and other devices installed after the tank and failure to remove this material may void any warranty claims.
If you are unavailable, or there are insufficient people available when your tank is delivered, the tank will be rolled off the truck and left on its side in the most appropriate safe place determined by the driver. Please check the section below (Delivery of Tanks) for a guide to how many people need to be available to help with your delivery
Our driver will generally need some assistance to unload your tank from the truck, therefore, could you please have able-bodied people available to assist at time of delivery (see “Delivery of Tanks” below).
If you unable to provide assistance, alternative arrangements will need to be made when ordering your tank.
Prepare Access for Delivery
Please check gates, roads, roundabouts, crossings and overhanging trees on your property so that we can deliver your tank without damage. If access is not clear to the site, your tank will be left at the closest point.
The size of the vehicle delivering your tank will depend on the size of the tank ordered.
Up to, but not including, 9,000 litres
Either a 4.5 ton rigid axle truck or a Ute.
9,000 and Above
A rigid axle truck with trailer (approx. 19 metres long x 3.5 metres wide)
Delivery of Tanks
Delivery of round tanks 250 litres to 9,000 litres
Round tanks from 250 litres up to 5000 litres can generally be delivered safely by our driver without assistance.
Under Eave tanks of 2000 litres and greater will need at least 1 able bodied person for assistance, other than the driver, to unload and assist placing the tank in-situ.
Delivery of round tanks 9,000 litres and above
Generally, tanks of 9,000 litres (2,000 Gallons) or greater are delivered free of charge to site (Poly Tanks Only).
These tanks are delivered on a truck and trailer (approx. 19 metres long x 3.5 metres wide) by 1 person (the driver) and will require assistance.
Please use the guidelines below:
9,000 litres to 13,500 Litres 1 to 2 able bodied people + driver
13,500 Litres to 22,500 Litres 2 to 3 able bodied people + driver
Greater than 22,500 Litres 3 to 5 able bodied people + driver
Delivery of Under Eave / Slimline Tanks
Delivery of Under Eave / Slimline Tanks can generally be done with the assistance of 1 person (excluding the driver). In most cases it can be done without assistance but it is preferable to have at least 1 able bodied person available in addition to the driver.
PLEASE NOTE – In the guidelines above, “able bodied”, refers to people able to assist the driver with lifting and moving the tank. For more information on the weight of a particular tank and how they are unloaded, please contact us.
Delivery Dates and Times
Delivery dates will depend on if the tank is “in-stock” or has been ordered.
For “in-stock” tanks, the delivery/installation date will be discussed at the time of purchase. Delivery of ordered tanks will depend on a number of factors.
If the tank is WA made, the tank should arrive at Tank Master within 2 to 3 weeks of order date. Once the tank has arrived at Tank Master, we will contact you regarding a delivery date.
If the tank is made outside WA the arrival date at Tank Master can only be estimated. Once the tank arrives at Tank Master, a delivery date can be arranged.
PLEASE NOTE – Delivery times can only be estimated due to loading/unloading, traffic, weather and other conditions. As a result of this we can only estimate an AM or PM time frame on the day of delivery.
